Jarl Lyng is a full stack digital designer and developer based in Denmark with more than 15 years of professional experience. He specializes in design strategy, UX/UI design, interaction design, and creative coding — building everything from native iOS and macOS apps to web applications and open-source tools.

His work spans frontend development with Vue.js, Nuxt, React, and Swift, combined with a deep foundation in design systems, motion design, and user experience. He has worked with clients including Carlsberg, Danske Bank, Native Instruments, DSB, and Roskilde Festival.

What I do

Core disciplines covering strategy, design, code, and creative experimentation

Digital Strategy

I figure out what users actually need (not what they say they need), what the market wants, and how to make stakeholders happy. Then I make a plan that doesn't suck.

Creative coding

I write code to create art. Generative designs, interactive experiences, weird experiments. Sometimes it's useful, sometimes it's just cool. Both are valid.

Concept development

I take wild ideas and turn them into something real. I explore, break things, refine, and push boundaries until it's actually good. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. That's the fun part.

Digital design

I design digital experiences. UX flows, UI components, micro-interactions, motion design - I make interfaces that feel good to use. Design systems, component libraries, and that perfect easing curve for a hover state.
